CariDee’s dream of becoming a model was fulfilled with the help of ‘America’s Next Top Model’. She always wanted to be model but was always unsure if she could make it as she suffered from psoriasis for fifteen years. Before entering the contest CariDee worked as a photographer.
CariDee, was one model on the show, who was part of lot of controversies, through out the cycle, despite which she managed to make it to the top. CariDee was considered as one of the most notable personalities on the show and was compared to Rebecca Romijn and Karolína Kurková. In 2008, CariDee was considered as one of the most memorable contestants of the show. Her prize on the show was $100,000 contract with CoverGirl Cosmetics, a modeling contract with Elite Models, and a six-page fashion editorial and cover for ‘Seventeen’ magazine.
Apart from this she has also been on the cover of magazines like ‘Social Life’ and ‘Cover’. She has modeled for Wedding Style, JC Penney, Stephenson Denim, Johnny P. Shoes, American Salon and Matrix Professional Colors. She also made a guest appearance on the series ‘One Tree Hill’, which is also like a prize for winning the show, but she was the only one who was offered more than one episode on the series. She also did a small role on Gossip Girl. As for future she is all set to host a show on MTV, which will begin shooting in April 2009.
