Jaslene Gonzalez always knew what she wanted to be and she even tried her level best for it. Even before joining up ‘America’s Next Top Model’, she was doing some kind of modeling as a side career. She was otherwise working as an online college admissions advisor. Jaslene had first enrolled herself in the seventh cycle of the ‘America’s Next top Model’, but she could only make it to the semi finalists. She was not the one to lose hope. She tried again next year and came out victorious. She proved to the world that if you have the will to do it, you can do it. She turned out as inspiration to many young people.
After she won the eighth cycle of the ‘America’s Next Top Model’, she won a representation by Elite Model Management, a $100,000 contract with ‘CoverGirl’ cosmetics and a photo shoot for the cover of and a six page spread in ‘Seventeen’ magazine. Besides the prize that she got she has done lot of other works too. Out of which prominent ones are that Jaslene modeled for New York Post, US Weekly. She had a six and twelve page of fashion spreads in the magazines VibeVixen and ZooZoom, respectively. She has walked the ramp for Ashley Paige and Armani Exchange line. She has also modeled for Amaya swimwear line at the BET ‘Rip the Runway’ fashion show.
In addition to all this Jaslene is one of the rare people who have been given the chance of renewing the contract with ‘CoverGirl’. Jaslene has featured in Ryan Leslie’s music video ‘Addiction’. Jaslene is also a member of a non violence group and was a part of their campaign ‘Love is Not Abuse’ which is spreading awareness about ‘teen dating violence’, as she herself was a victim of teen date violence.
