America’s Next Top Model TV Show

No, you are wrong if you are thinking that Tyra Banks was participating in some modeling competition. Actually she has topped in Forbes List of the highest earning women on primetime TV. This is quite a big achievement for her. She has topped among television stars like Katherine Heigl who stood second in this list, Eva Longoria parker and Marg Helgenberger. The America’s Next Top Model, creator cum host cum judge won with an estimated income of $30 million income. This income is her earning from all ventures including America’s Next Top Model, frequent cameo appearances and her daytime talk shows.

While in the last episode of the America’s Next Top Model we witnessed a series of interesting events like the task where all the participating beauties had to visit clients and were divided into groups of two. Each group was given a separate car and a map. In this task Nicole was declared the winner while Rae and Sundai were disqualified. The best part of the show for me was the photo shoot. The girls were made to pose with martial arts weapons while hanging from a wire. Sounds quite bizarre, no? What made it more interesting was the name, Petite Ninja Warriors. Throughout their performance, Jay kept encouraging the girls.

The judges after seeing each performer’s performance gave their comments and suggestions. After that Kara and Sundai were declared the bottom two. Finally judges declared that Kara was to be eliminated. Thus 19 years old Kara was the seventh finalist eliminated from the thirteenth cycle of America’s Next Top Model. Kara of course appeared disappointed for being eliminated in the middle of the competition. This show has repeatedly been UPN’s #1 rated show. It is the best platform to bring out America’s top modeling talent. I have been a regular viewer of this show since its premiere in May, 2003 and it has helped in enhancing my personality.

Hey everyone! Recently America’s Next Top Model was in news once again. And this time it was not one of the contestants of the show who was behind bringing the show to the frontlines, but a judge who caused the upheaval. Model Paulina Porizkova, who had been a judge on America’s Next Top Model, was fired from the show on the eve of the Season 12 finale, and incidentally it was her birthday as well!

I am sure that you must be wondering why a judge was fired from the popular reality show. Well, seemingly the model was shown the door due to her ego problem, which according to Paulina, she was not aware of having, until the producers told her so. Also, according to the former model, she was told that the reason behind her firing was that America’s Next Top Model had gained too much fat and that by removing her they were in fact removing the fat from the show.

The model broke the news of her having been fired from the show on Late Late Show with Craig Ferguso, last Tuesday, where she said that she was in Los Angeles, looking for a job as she was no longer a judge on the America’s Next Top Model. Pauline also said that she was informed about her termination on phone.

Pauline’s birthday falls on 9^th April, almost a month before the model divulged the fact that she had been relived from her duties of judging America’s Next Top Model. Now, why she did not reveal the news of her dismissal from the show earlier is a question that only she can answer. However, it has surely become clear that there was no love lost between Pauline and her former boss Tyra Banks.

Pauline had joined America’s Next Top Model as a judge in its Season 10. She had replaced model Twiggy, who herself had joined the show as a replacement for Supermodel judge Janice Dickinson. Pauline used to interact a lot with the contestants of America’s Next Top Model and was known to be the most interactive amongst all the judges. She is surely going to be missed on the show as she had become an integral part of the judge’s panel.

Heya Folks !!! The very handsome Nigel Barker, the photographer turned judge of our favorite show America’s Next Top Model has become daddy again. Jasmine [What a cute name, no??] was born on the seventh of December in New York and is the second child of Nigel with his wife Cristen after their two year old son, Jack. And you know what??? The baby weighed seven pounds and eleven ounces.
And guess who the Godmother of the cute little Jasmine is???

Well, it is Tyra Banks, the creator and the host of the show AMERICA’S NEXT TOP MODEL, a colleague of Nigel. Even on a website Nigel confirmed that Tyra would be asked to be the Godmother.
Well Congratulations to the proud parents and also to would be ‘Godmother’.

Whenever someone enters a reality show, the one thing that they have in mind is that now they will come out triumphant. We all, definitely, want to be positive of ourselves, but nothing is easy. Last time on ‘America’s Next Top Model’ only four contestants were left and this week they had to eliminate one. It was Marjorie who had to say goodbye to all, marking an end to her journey of becoming ‘America’s Next Top Model’. I am sure it must have been a very intimidating moment for Marjorie, when the judges would have announced that she is the one who will have to leave the show.

Ever since Marjorie entered the show, the judges had shown their faith on her. They were always of the view that she had potential. But, this time she was not able to impress them; they were of the view that she had lost her charm somewhere, simply in order to impress judges. They said that they wanted to see her spark, which was present when she entered the show. Judges were confused between Samantha and Marjorie and finally they decided on Marjorie as they thought that at such a stage when competition was so close they were not expecting such a performance from anyone. And, I personally I feel that Marjorie was herself responsible for her elimination. Her odd behavior at the party last night, where she got drunk and made a fool of her self, she definitely attracted the attention of judges towards her. Above all, at the party it could be seen that she had become too proud of her win last time. All these factors were enough to get in the bad eyes of the judges and the result is in front of all of us.

Well, Marjorie I think this came as a lesson for you too. But, there is one thing that I, too, like judges feel that she definitely has potential and has the looks and attitude to be a good model.
