Hey everyone! Recently America’s Next Top Model was in news once again. And this time it was not one of the contestants of the show who was behind bringing the show to the frontlines, but a judge who caused the upheaval. Model Paulina Porizkova, who had been a judge on America’s Next Top Model, was fired from the show on the eve of the Season 12 finale, and incidentally it was her birthday as well!
I am sure that you must be wondering why a judge was fired from the popular reality show. Well, seemingly the model was shown the door due to her ego problem, which according to Paulina, she was not aware of having, until the producers told her so. Also, according to the former model, she was told that the reason behind her firing was that America’s Next Top Model had gained too much fat and that by removing her they were in fact removing the fat from the show.
The model broke the news of her having been fired from the show on Late Late Show with Craig Ferguso, last Tuesday, where she said that she was in Los Angeles, looking for a job as she was no longer a judge on the America’s Next Top Model. Pauline also said that she was informed about her termination on phone.
Pauline’s birthday falls on 9th April, almost a month before the model divulged the fact that she had been relived from her duties of judging America’s Next Top Model. Now, why she did not reveal the news of her dismissal from the show earlier is a question that only she can answer. However, it has surely become clear that there was no love lost between Pauline and her former boss Tyra Banks.
Pauline had joined America’s Next Top Model as a judge in its Season 10. She had replaced model Twiggy, who herself had joined the show as a replacement for Supermodel judge Janice Dickinson. Pauline used to interact a lot with the contestants of America’s Next Top Model and was known to be the most interactive amongst all the judges. She is surely going to be missed on the show as she had become an integral part of the judge’s panel.
