The eleventh season of the series was premiered on September 3, 2008 and is currently running. The season began with final fourteen contestants stepping into a Los Angeles loft which would be their home until the next top model is chosen. For the season’s first photo shoot, the girls had to portray different political issues. The first one, to leave the show was ShaRaun. The girls were then given posing lessons by Benny Ninja and contortionist Bree Robertson. For their next photo shoot, the girls were made to hang from a rope ladder. When the shots came out the judges decided to chuck Nikeysha out for her bad photos. The girls then had to undergo makeovers which are a usual part of the show. With, some happy, with their new looks, there were others who didn’t find their new look much convincing. The girls then had to take part in a photo shoot where they were made to pose in swimwear. At the end of the shoot the judges decided to eliminate Brittany. For the next challenge the girls were made to participate in a runway show for Jeremy Scott. The judges this time decided to make an on the spot elimination, which was Isis. The girls were then given very important lesson which would help them in their career.
They were taught how to look sexy in a loose outfit and how should they carry themselves in such a situation. After the photo shoot the judges decided to send home Clark. For their next photo shoot, the girls were made to pose for different award show snafus. It was Lauren’s turn to leave the competition. For their next challenge the girls were made to walk in wooden shoes. Judges decided to eliminate Joslyn. For their next task, the girls were made to sell dresses from various designers. The girls were then made to shoot dressed in dresses from seventeenth century. At panel the judges decided to eliminate Sheena. With five girls left on the show, they were then asked to meet fashion designers and had to impress them. Mckey was eliminated from the task as she was late by five minutes. After the photo shoot whose photographer was Tyra, the girls had to undergo another elimination. The judges decided to get rid of Elina. For their next photo shoot the girls wore dramatic hair and make up, with windmills at the backdrop. The judges decided to eliminate Marjorie, for not been able to perform well. With three girls left on the show Analeigh, Samantha and Mckey, they had to do a commercial and photo-shoot for CoverGirl. The judges decided to send home Analgeih for not performing well at this late in the series. With only Samantha and Mckey left they were made to walk the ramp. At the end, the judges decided that it is Mckey who best deserves the crown for being ‘America’s Next Top Model’, making Samantha the runner up for the season.
