Sixth season:-Cycle 6 of the season was aired on March 8, 2006. The winner of the episode would get photo shoot for Elle magazine, a contract with Ford, and a $100,000 contract with CoverGirl cosmetics as prize money. This season again the number was cut down from 32 to 13. The thirteen entered the house and got ready for their first photo shoot followed by elimination round. Their first photo shoot was for Swarovski, where they had to pose wearing Swarovski crystals. Judges decided Kathy as the first elimination of the season. The girls were then given makeovers, for their next photo shoot they had to pose with ice sculptures, the judges decided to send home Wendy, for her inability to pose well. Their next challenge was to walk the runway with cockroaches. For the elimination round, they had to pose as a character from a fairy tale. At the end of this round, judges decided to send home Kari. For their next challenge, they had to pose as what they always wanted to be, that is, their dream careers.
After having a look at the photographs of this shoot, judges decided to eliminate Gina as they felt that she had already mentally left the show. The girls, this time learned about acting skills, which would help them pose in a better way. Instead of a photo shoot, the girls got to indulge themselves in a commercial shoot for CoverGirl. Mollie had to leave the show after this challenge. For their next assignment the girls had to pose for Payless shoes. But they had to do so in a modern dance named ‘krump’. Leslie was the one chosen to be sent home. This time the contestants had to face a lot of criticism. The criticism was a part of their challenge, as judges wanted to see their ability to perform under pressure. Their shoot, this time, was done by Tyra. Judges decided to eliminate Brooke, for not giving right expressions. Their next training was how to tackle difficult questions at an interview. For their next photo shoot they had to pose as mermaids and the shoot demanded them to hang upside down. When photos were shown the judges felt that Nnenna, performed worst out of all, so they had to send her back home. The girls were now in Thailand, for the out door shooting. They had to learn Thai dance and then perform in front of the judges. After the photo shoot, where the girls had to pose on elephant backs, judges decided to say good bye to Furonda. The girls were then taken to a beach in Phuket for the next photo shoot. After the shoot they were back in Bangkok, where the next elimination took place. Sarah was asked to leave the show, for giving bad performances constantly and not improving even a bit. For the second last assignment, the girls had to shoot with Jay Manuel, for CoverGirl, magazine. Jade was eliminated after the shoot. Joanie and Danielle, the final two, had to walk the ramp for Roj Singhakul’s. Finally, the judges decided upon Danielle to be America’s Next Top Model.
