Eight Season:- Cycle 8 of ‘America’s Next Top Model’ was aired on February 28, 2007. Out of a whole lot of girls, thirty three were sent to Los Angeles, where, after a photo shoot the number was cut down to thirteen. For the first challenge the girls were made to under go a shoot, where most of the girls were not able to impress the judges. The first one to leave the show was Kathleen. For their next challenge the girls were given different high school positions and had to pose for the same. The Judges were all negative about Samantha and decided to eliminate her. The girls were then taken out for a makeover. For their next elimination round, the girls were made to pose nude, they were decorated as candies. The judges were very disappointed with Cassandra and decided to send her home. The girls were then made to learn ‘voguing’, a form of dance, where they were also judged through the photographs that were taken. At the end, the judges decided to eliminate Felicia, as she was not able to perform well. Next, the girls were given lessons about what to wear and what not to wear. For their next challenge the male models were added to the shoot, but the male models were to be dressed as females and the females as males, which came as a surprise to girls. At the end of the shoot the judges decided to eliminate Diana. For their next challenge the girls had to do their own hair and make up and they had to look according to the personalities that were given to them. Sarah was sent home after the judges thought that she had over done in the photographs. The remaining contestants were then given acting lessons by actress Tia Mowry.
For their next photo shoot the girls were paired up with the girls from previous cycles. Judges, this time, decided to chuck Whitney out, after she was in the bottom two for the third consecutive time and as no improvement was seen in her. This time the girls are taken to Sydney, Australia which was their foreign location for that season. The girls had to do a commercial for CoverGirl, that also in Australian accent. The judges were surprised by the performances from Natasha and Reene. They showed their utter disappointment in Jael and asked her to leave the show. While still in Sydney, the girls had to meet some people at the modeling agencies. Natasha and Brittany were disqualified as they came late to the location. The girls were then made to shoot in swimsuits. They were asked to do sensual poses for men and women magazines. Judges decided to eliminate Brittany. After their next photo shoot the judges were utterly disappointed with Dionne and they made her leave the show. With three more to go the girls had to do a commercial for CoverGirl. This time it was Renne’s turn to leave the show as she was not able to impress judges enough. With Jaslene and Natasha left, their final task included a cover for ‘Seventeen’ magazine and then a walk down the runway. The judges finally decided that it was Jaslene who deserved to be the ‘America’s Next Top Model’.
